Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and season lightly with salt and pepper. Heat a little cooking oil in a pan over high heat and sear the chicken until golden and cooked through, developing a caramelized crust. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  2. Cook the Noodles: Boil the noodles according to the package instructions until tender but still firm to the bite. Drain and set aside, ready to soak up the sauce.
  3. Make the Garlic Sauce: In the same pan, sauté the minced garlic and optional ginger until fragrant but not burnt. Add soy sauce, honey or brown sugar, and a splash of sesame oil. Stir well and simmer to create a thick, shiny glaze.
  4. Combine Everything: Return the chicken to the pan and add the cooked noodles. Toss everything together thoroughly to coat the noodles and chicken in the sticky garlic sauce.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle freshly chopped green onions over the top and serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
