Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Slice the chicken breast into thin strips and chop the vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Mince the garlic, slice the green onions, and measure out sauces and oils so everything is ready.
  2. Cook the Rice: Rinse rice under cold water until clear. Cook according to package instructions. Keep warm and fluffy while preparing the stir-fry.
  3. Stir-Fry Chicken: Heat 1 tablespoon sesame oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken strips and cook until golden brown and fully cooked, about 5-6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. Sauté Garlic and Vegetables: In the same pan, add more sesame oil if needed. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots; stir frequently until tender-crisp, about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Combine and Season: Return chicken to the pan with vegetables. Pour in soy sauce and stir to combine. Cook for another 2 minutes to blend flavors. Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or splash of water if dry.
  6. Serve Over Steamed Rice: Plate the steamed rice, top with the chicken stir-fry, then garnish with sliced green onions and optional red chili flakes.
