Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • Mini Pretzels – about 2 cups (or 40-50 pieces)
  • Colored Candy Melts or Chocolate Chips – 1 to 1½ cups (choose pastel or bright Easter-themed colors)
  • Sprinkles – ¼ cup, Easter-themed or rainbow

Optional Toppings

  • Chopped Nuts – 2 tablespoons (optional)
  • Tiny Candies – 2 tablespoons (optional)
  • Shredded Coconut – 2 tablespoons (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Workstation: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to keep your surface clean and to easily transfer the pretzels after chocolate sets.
  2. Melt the Candy Melts or Chocolate: Place your chosen chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and glossy.
  3. Dip or Drizzle the Pretzels: Fully dip pretzels into the melted chocolate for full coverage or use a spoon/piping bag to drizzle chocolate over them for different designs and flavor balances.
  4. Add Sprinkles and Toppings: While the chocolate is still wet, quickly sprinkle the colorful Easter-themed sprinkles and any optional toppings to add festive texture and flavor.
  5. Let Them Set: Place the pretzels on the parchment-lined baking sheet and allow the chocolate to harden completely at room temperature (20-30 minutes) or refrigerate for 10-15 minutes for faster setting.

Notes

  • Avoid overheating chocolate to prevent graininess or burning.
  • Use high-quality candy melts or baking chocolate for a smoother finish and better flavor.
  • Add sprinkles immediately after dipping for best adhesion.
  • Experiment with twisting or clustering pretzels for creative shapes and presentation.
  • Store finished treats in a cool, dry place to prevent melting or sweating.
  • Use gluten-free pretzels to make the recipe gluten-free suitable.
  • Leftovers can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for up to one week or frozen for up to two months.
