Ingredients

Scale

Meat and Seasoning

  • 1 lb ground beef (lean or medium-fat)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (blend of paprika, cayenne, garlic, herbs)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Pasta

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • Water and salt for boiling pasta

Creamy Three-Cheese Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, freshly minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the Spaghetti: Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti until al dente according to the package instructions. Drain the pasta and set aside, reserving a small cup of pasta water.
  2. Brown the Cajun-Spiced Beef: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the ground beef, season generously with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
  3. Prepare the Creamy Cheese Sauce: Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the minced garlic, then add the heavy cream. Gradually add the cream cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses, stirring continuously until melted and the sauce is smooth.
  4. Combine Beef and Sauce: Mix the cooked beef directly into the cheese sauce, allowing the flavors to meld together. If the sauce becomes too thick, gradually add reserved pasta water a little at a time to reach the desired consistency.
  5. Toss with Spaghetti: Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss thoroughly to coat each strand with the creamy, spicy sauce. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Season generously with Cajun seasoning for authentic bold flavor.
  • Use fresh minced garlic for the best aroma and depth.
  • Allow cheeses to come to room temperature before melting for a smooth sauce.
  • Reserve pasta water to adjust sauce consistency and help bind pasta and sauce.
  • Adjust cayenne or spice levels early to control heat intensity.
