Ingredients

Scale

Primary Ingredients

  • 4 Butterfinger candy bars, finely crushed (approx. 8 oz)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 oz chocolate chips or melting chocolate (milk, dark, or white)

Optional Toppings

  • Sprinkles
  • Crushed nuts

Instructions

  1. Crush the Butterfinger Bars: Finely crush the Butterfinger candy bars into small chunks using a food processor or by placing them in a sealed bag and crushing with a rolling pin. Aim for small pieces, not powder, to retain crunch.
  2. Mix Cream Cheese and Powdered Sugar: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar. Beat together until smooth and creamy with no lumps.
  3. Fold in Crushed Butterfinger: Gently fold the crushed Butterfinger pieces into the cream cheese mixture until just combined, taking care not to overmix to preserve the candy’s texture.
  4. Shape the Mixture into Balls: Use a small cookie scoop or your hands to form the mixture into 1-inch balls. Place them on a parchment-lined tray.
  5. Chill Before Coating: Refrigerate the balls for about 30 minutes to firm them up, making them easier to coat.
  6. Dip in Melted Chocolate: Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts until smooth. Use a fork or dipping tool to coat each ball fully, then place back on the parchment paper.
  7. Add Optional Toppings and Set: Before the chocolate hardens, sprinkle your choice of toppings over the balls. Allow the chocolate to set completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Use room temperature cream cheese for a smooth blend.
  • Keep Butterfinger pieces chunky to preserve crunch.
  • Chill balls before dipping to prevent breakage.
  • Work quickly while dipping to ensure a smooth chocolate coating.
  • Store Butterfinger Balls in airtight containers refrigerated to maintain freshness.
